About The ERNACT Network
ERNACT is a network of European Regions, working together since 1990, to help decentralise the benefits of the Information Society to regions within the European Union.
The network is practical and project driven, and has a successful track record in assisting participating regions to participate in EU cross-border, interregional and transnational information society related programmes and community initiatives including INTERREG IIIB, IIIC and the framework programmes.
Regions participating as core "network members" are the City of Derry (N.Ireland), County Donegal (Ireland), County Galway (Ireland), Wirral Metropolitan Area (UK), Region of Cantabria (Spain) Region of Olomouc (Czech Republic), City of San Sebastian (Spain) and the Province of Zeeland (Netherlands). The network also participates with many other European regions on a project by project basis.
We have long established region-friendly management structures, project development and management systems and a professional and multinational staff team located at our European network administration unit in Ireland. ERNACT focuses on stimulating the development of Internet services that exploit the possibilities of broadband infrastructure in the areas of eGovernment, Broadband, eBusiness and Regional Innovation.
